A frequently heard statement is: eat 2 pieces of fruit a day for a healthy diet. This statement is correct as a bus. Fruit is simply healthy.
But I want to add a little bit to this statement:
Eat as much fruit as you want!
In fruit there are only healthy nutrients that can not possibly be harmful to your health. You never get fatter from fruit. That is why you can eat as much as you want.
The fruit diet is based on a diet in which only fruit is allowed. That is not necessarily true. You can eat vegetables and other sugar-free products without getting fat. You can easily lose weight by eating vegetables, for example, on the fruit diet.
My advice is: NEVER eat packaged food. This contains products full of bad sugars that thicken. Packed food also contains many E numbers. E numbers are artificially produced and are not good for you. Therefore avoid packaged food.
Good, back to the fruit diet. The fruit diet looks like this:
- After 2 days fruit always 1 free day
- Drink unlimited water, coffee or tea
- Avoid banana, grapes and avocado
- Take multivitamin tablets daily
- Eat mainly fish and lean meat on the day off
The disadvantages of the fruit diet
Because you only eat fruit, you do not get some nutrients inside. That is the unhealthy thing about the fruit diet. You have to swallow tablets to compensate for this. You understand that swallowing multivitamin tablets is not healthy for your body.
Another disadvantage of the fruit diet is the lack of habit patterns. Because you follow a different diet every two days, you do not quickly get used to one fixed diet. Just following a clear, fixed diet has a lot of success if you want to lose weight.
The 5 tips as an addition to the fruit diet
I advise you to eat a lot of fruit. Fruit is very good for you. But next to the fruit diet I want to give you the following supplements / tips on the fruit diet:
1) Eat fruit AND vegetables every day
Eating only fruit is not the healthiest way to lose weight. In addition to fruit, eat mainly vegetables. In vegetables there are many necessary nutrients that are not in fruit. You can handle your vitamin and mineral deficiencies.
2) Drink only water or green tea
Coffee is not really a healthy drink. Try to avoid coffee, and switch to water and / or green tea. Also other types of tea than green tea are not healthy.
2 liters of water per day is the recommended daily amount. For example, drink 2 glasses of water in the morning, a glass during lunch and a glass at dinner. Then you quickly sit on 1 liter of water. You can drink the other liters of water at random moments.
Moreover, water is the best drink to prevent feelings of hunger. If you drink water regularly, you do not feel like eating. This is extremely favorable for the waste process.
3) Eat other fresh products in moderation
Not all products are bad for you. As said before, fruit and vegetables are good for you, but you can also eat other products, be they in moderation.
For example, brown rice varieties, brown pasta, milk products and peanuts. You can eat these products once a day. The portion should not be bigger than your fist.
4) Eat smaller portions more often
In order not to turn fats, it is good to continue eating. This keeps your body in operation and does not have time to build up fats. The result is that you lose.
That is why it is good to divide your meals into smaller portions. For example, eat mandarins or apples throughout the day, and not 3 in the morning at breakfast. It really works.
5) Create the habit
Performing a habit takes no effort and little power. So if you can make a habit of your diet, you create a win-win situation for yourself. You fall off and you also become healthy again.
I can not say which fixed patterns or habits work for you. However, it worked for me, for example, to eat 1 apple every day at 11 o'clock and 1 orange at 3 o'clock. In the beginning I had to think about it, but now it's in my behavior. I pick up my apple or orange at autopilot around this time.
